On October 22, Professor Roger Des Forges, an expert on the history of the Ming dynasty, from the Department of History at the State University of New York at Buffalo, was invited to give a speech entitled “The Story of Li Yan: Its Relationship with the Chinese History and theGlobal History” at Tsinghua Sinology Workshop. The speech was hosted by Professor Liu Dong, associate director of the Academy of Chinese Learning.
