On July 5-6, the 2013 Interdisciplinary Conference of AHLiST co-hosted by the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences was held in Jiasuo at Tsinghua. The theme of this year’s conference is “Crossing the Border: Encounters between Cultures and Disciplines.” More than forty experts and scholars from home and abroad attended the conference, including those from the US, Spain, Poland, Argentina, Russia, etc. Garcia-Serrano, President of AHLiST, Wan Junren, Dean of School of Humanities and Li Qiang, Dean of School of Social Sciences, attended the opening ceremony. Professor Wang Hui gave a keynote speech at the ceremony.
