On the afternoon of November 23, 2010, the Wei Lun Visiting Professor appointment ceremony was held for Professor Yao Xinzhong, director of the China Institute at King's College London, UK, in Xinzhai. He received the letter of appointment from Professor Li Qiang, Dean of SHSS.

Professor Wan Junren, chair of the Department of Philosophy, introduced his past research and the responsibilities he is going to assume in the position in the department. Professor Yao will teach courses in comparative study of Chinese and Western ethics for doctoral and MA degree students in the department, and give university-wide lectures on religious and Confucian ethics.
