Educational background
Liu Xiaofeng is a professor and doctoral advisor in the Department of History at the School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. Liu received his master’s degree in Classical Chinese Literature from Northeast Normal University in 1986. He earned a second master’s degree in Japanese History from Toyama University in Japan in 1995, and received his Ph.D. in Japanese History from Kyoto University in 2000.
