Educational background

A Feng, Professor of the Department of History, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. He was born in 1970 in Haicheng County, Liaoning Province, graduated from the Department of History, Liaoning University in 1991, and joined the Institute of History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in the same year, engaging in the research of Huizhou documents. He received his Doctor of History from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2002, and a Doctor of Laws (dissertation) from Kyoto University in 2006.

Work experience

He was a researcher at the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2009. Since 2017, he has also served as vice president of the Chinese Society of Ming Dynasty History. In July 2020. He joined the Tsinghua University. His main research areas are Huizhou documents and Ming and Qing social and economic history, legal history, and the study of ancient documents.
