Lv Zhao  is an associate professor in the Department of History at the School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. She received her Ph.D. in History and Civilizations from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in France. Her research focuses on French history, medieval European history, and urban history.

She has led several major research projects, including a project funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, a project funded by the Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Foundation, and a project supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Her work has been published in French, English and Chinese in journals such as Diasporas: Circulations, Migrations,Histoire, Histoire Urbaine, World History Studies,《历史研究》(Historical Research), and《世界历史》(World History). In 2024, she was awarded the Youth Achievement Award in the Ninth Outstanding Achievements Awards for Scientific Research in Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) by the Ministry of Education of China.
