Educational background

Chen Bisheng was born in 1979 in Chaoyang, Guangdong. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Philosophy at the School of Humanities, Tsinghua University. He also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Confucius Association. His research focuses on classical studies, Han and Jin dynasty philosophy, and intellectual history studies in modern China.

His works include Classical Studies, Institutions, and Life, The Collapse of Classical Studies, A History of the Book of XiaoFamily Reverence, The Rectified Interpretation of the Classic of Filial Piety, and The Institutional Legacy of the Duke of Zhou and Confucius, among others. He is also the chief editor of the journal Confucian Classical Studies.
